You have popped out of the room for 10 minutes to make a cup of tea. Your laptop is busy chugging away when it is suddenly stolen. You come back and look in horror since you have been working on the project for a week and forgot to back up. If the computer was monitored by Spy Box, your mobile phone would have rang. Looking at the caller ID would have told you that your computer was in the process of being taken. You'd rush back to find someone, just unplugging the power supply. Even if you'd missed them, you could have called security to stop everyone carrying cases etc. That way you'd have got the laptop and your project back, you can present your work.
